"The black and white Dialogue Series is a blend of left brained Animism, where transcendental magic animates the material world combined with the more clinical designs of the right brain. Surrealism reigns with clear and concise strokes of the informed pen.

People tend to engage with these images in an inquisitive fashion. They question what they see. The answers lie for some in a liberation from the present moment and/or conjointly the ability to think outside the box; a moment of incentivized individuality.

In the execution of these works I am driven by a conflux of forces that propel the extension of thought or conversation into form. I feel an honesty in the immediacy and knowledge that, for myself, the path of creation is not one mapped beneath the feet, but more similar to that of birds in flight. I am fully aware and yet free to allow myself to know that if I knew the outcome before I began then, more than likely, I would not have started out.

"When you jump into the unknown you prove that you are free!"  Francis Ford Coppola

You may not know what you do not know, however in the road to unravelling what is perceived resides intrigue, mystery, multifaceted awareness and delight!

‘The Dialogues’ find their beginnings in ink drawings executed by Philip Ross Munro in the 1970’s and 1980’s. Over the years, they have become a distinctive narrative form in the Artist’s repertoire of channeling and storytelling.
